Has anyone else noticed that the "new" youth organization are militarized? - the formation of a community service letter

I am a social worker who voted for Obama, and I think my lifestyle is a kind of liberal, but the youth organizations that are emerging around the country seem a little too military for me. It kind of blow to the Hitler Youth (starting with the same kind of intent). Why (City Year One) have a uniform and in advertisements for the recruitment of children who end up in military training, then off, then. What kind of social services is that? Many of them are like that, why are as organizations of young soldiers who serve the community represented. Frankly, that's exactly what the Hitler Youth began and what they did later. I do not like marching, uniforms, and the same for children. Is this still a gland issue? I do not want young men in poor neighborhoods? Why are not more like Vista, which started with this uniform?
